Struggling to get your shit together?
Sick of all the frilly, OTT planners out there (which tend to confuse, not encourage)? Can someone say, OVERUSE OF INSPO QUOTES*? Heck, I shut down that game on my own Insta, was starting to annoy myself.
If you are hunting down the perfect time management tool, you are going to thank your lucky stars you stumbled across here today.
Say hiya to your new best mate, the Passion Planner!
Let’s just say off the bat – I’m not an affiliate of theirs, I haven’t received these for free. I just love them to shiz and have used the Passion Planner for 3 years now. It is a magical bloody unicorn diary and everyone needs one in their lives.
Now, a little bitta history before we get into the gritties.
The Passion Planner was dreamt up in 2013 by fresh college grad Angelia Trinidad, who suffered from “directionless floating” – something we all feel at some point or another. Here’s a little (big) snippet from her on her thoughts at the time of creating this beast:
“We ask ourselves, “What if I don’t make as much money as so and so?”, “What if I make the wrong choice?”, “What would blah, blah, blah, think of me?”, “Will my parents agree with this choice?”, “Am I thinking over all the possibilities and weighing the consequences?” …We think, we think, we think… and think some more… but fail to ACT. Our perfectionism paralyses us, the fear of failure is too much, and the cons of making the wrong choice make us imagine and psychologically experience the stresses of what potentially could go wrong. We find ourselves feeling stuck, alone and lost.
How do I know all of this? I’ve done it myself. And why do I think I have a solution? Because I’ve made a product that I wish someone gave me when I was feeling lost.
I want to turn the system on its head. To make love, gratitude, and self-motivation the primary force that propels action. I want to help people pursue their passions; to pursue things that make them excited to get up every day, because when you follow your passion you never have to work a day in your life. Work feels like playful experimentation, projects stop being scary and start looking like adventures, failures look like valuable experiences, and success is just the remnants of a beautiful process, not the end goal. When you create your ideal reality through action, the present becomes a gift that you live every moment of your life.”
RIGHT. IN. THE. FEELS.
To help herself at the time to overcome those jarring and negative fears, she started dreaming up a tool that would smash them to smithers.
Something that could help break those big goals way down into small and super achievable tasks, something that held you accountable AF each and every day.
Angelia slammed together a sample, threw it up onto Kickstarter and whaddya know? Not only was it fully funded, but went VIRAL. Huge publications started sharing their love for Passion Planner. Fast forward a couple of years – she now has a much bigger crew on deck and Passion Planners are still flying out the doors into loving arms all over the globe.
My first Passion Planner was from that Kickstarter project and I haven’t switched since. I’ve looked, searched and trawled the interwebs. NOTHING comes close.
Passion Planner are also an official Get One, Give One Company, meaning that for every one that is purchased, they legit give one away. Individuals who cannot afford one can easily apply on their site (next round of applications opening later this month), same goes for organizations who deserve a hand. Absolute legends!
MY FIRST TWO BBZ (CENTRE AND RIGHT) AND THE NEW GUY (LEFT).
While I have rocked both the Classic and Compact sizes, I prefer the big boy. Drawing and sketching is my jam – the more room I have for that, the better.
For little ol’ me living here in Oz (Australia), my latest 2017 Classic Passion Planner cost $58 AUD including shipping. A very decent price, especially considering most local options were FAR more pricey and mostly filler and frills.
Head to passionplanner.com to find out more – do let me know in the comments below what your fave planner is, or if you end up jumping onto the PP wagon! (Don’t actually pee pee. Though you may out of excitement.)
*The Passion Planner DOES contain a weekly quote, but they are actually super decent. None about sparkles and rainbows. AND they are properly credited. ?
